Digital and Social Media:
Create social media campaigns and strategies, content ideation, and implementation schedules to increase brand awareness and increase engagement while ensuring brand consistency.
Work with different departments for content collection and management by establishing a system.
Form key relationships with influencers across the social media platforms.
Report performance on social media platforms as well as research and monitor activity of competitors.
Support in developing social media policy and educate/encourage other staff on the use of social media to promote its use within our organization (in-house roles).
Grow and expand organization’s social media presence in new social media platforms and increase presence on existing platforms.
Create and distribute engaging written or graphic content in the form of E-newsletters, marketing collaterals, social media messages, etc.
Lead the updating, maintenance and revamping of the ChildFund India website and Intranet site for archiving and sharing data.
Support in developing and implementing an effective communication strategy consistent with the organization’s core intent, core outcomes, area of excellence and strategic directions.
Support in developing compelling articles to promote ChildFund’s programs and produce high quality photographs and videos.
Support in preparing and producing promotional materials (print and electronic) to support fundraising and sponsorship departments.
Work with Sponsor Relations team for producing communication material (Audio-visual, online and print) to support managing donor relation.
Support in identifying and seizing media opportunities to promote ChildFund India and its programs, as well as assist in developing talking points for CD/CEO and response to media queries.
Manage and work with consultants, commissioned writers and interns.
Support in creating engaging multimedia content such as videos, and/or outsource this effectively, when required.
3-4 years of demonstrated experience in communications, social media and media relations in the NGO sector, preferably in international NGO in humanitarian or development sector.
A university degree in Communications or Marketing or equivalent relevant work xperience.
In-depth understanding of digital media platforms, brand development and communications, with experience in developing, managing and assessing integrated communication strategies and promotional plans.
Strong organizational skills, and ability to deliver high quality work, under pressure, meet tight deadlines and simultaneously manage multiple projects.
Superior business writing and editing skills, excellent oral communications skills; fluency in English required.
Global mindset and good interpersonal skills, including ability to work effectively as part of a local team and across organizational lines and geographic boundaries.
Skill in print quality photography and production of short videos would be preferred.
Knowledge about generating media coverage.
A solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms, using effective techniques
Creative skills for contributing new and innovative ideas
