· The Internal communications specialist will use their planning, writing and editing skills to create materials and organize events for the employees.
Generation of content that informs employees about the objectives and policies.
Conduct surveys and local focus groups, to assess employee communication needs and help develop plans and strategies based on results.
Building activities that engage employees together and bolster their work performance.
Provide writing, editing and content management support.
Support a variety of Internal Communications-related tools and processes, all emails, Newsletter, Intranet, Social Media platform, Digital Screens etc.
Support the ongoing enhancement of the existing communications vehicles – especially in digital/new media - to more effectively reach employees across and build a more informed and engaged employee population.
Collaborate with teams and functions to develop content and plans to help them reach their employees and communicate their news and priorities
Collaborate with external agency partners where needed, to help communicate news and priorities as effectively as possible.
Coordinate and administer the Internal Communications calendar.
Point of contact and advice on internal communications across globally
Education and Skills Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations or a related field.
Very strong writing and editing background with superb attention to detail and interpersonal relationship skills.
Strong IT skills including basic HTML, Photoshop, video creation packages and survey tools.
Experience of working on large company wide events.
Corporate/organisational communications or agency experience preferred, including experience developing communications plans and strategies.
Ability to work with a variety of teams and functions to analyse communications needs and develop plans to deliver results.
Ability to think strategically and creatively.
Experience communicating online and through social media.
Substantial internal communications experience in complex organisations with geographically dispersed staff.
Experience of developing and implementing internal communications strategies and measuring their effectiveness.
Experience of advising senior managers on complex internal communications challenges, including crisis communications.
Experience of successfully managing complex projects, involving multiple stakeholders, from start to finish.
Experience of successfully influencing employees at all levels within.
Experience of writing for a variety of audiences.
Involvement in managing the intranet.
Good working knowledge with design agencies.
