Main Purpose of the role
The digital manager- India position is a senior management position responsible for leading the digital initiatives of the organisation. Reporting into the country director India and Communications Manager, the digital manager will work closely with the global digital team and will play a key role in the design and delivery of World Animal Protections communications strategy in India, with a specific lead role in digital work.


Accountabilities

The digital manager- India is ultimately accountable for the digital strategy- including strategy development and implementation.
The role holder will comply with the organisations policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities
Functional
Work with communications manager and the global digital team to implement WAPs communications strategy across the entire spectrum of communications disciplines.
Develop key messages, lead on creating and maintaining appropriate and consistent language and terminology across all digital channels
Design, and implement WAPs digital strategy working across the organisation.
Proactively plan creative, compelling and targeted digital communications activity and campaigns.
Managing WAP Indias website, including copywriting and editing, setting KPIs and using analytics (including Google Analytics, email marketing tracking) to regularly measure, evaluate and optimise all digital communications activity.
Maintaining and updating our accounts across all major social media platforms.
Staying informed of upcoming trends and developments within the field of digital communications and reporting to colleagues.
Work with campaigns teams to deliver integrated campaigns.


Finance
Oversee the development of the departments budget in liaison with the Finance team.
Take overall responsibility for the effective and efficient management of delegated budget in accordance with World Animal Protections financial procedures and local governance regulations

Organisational responsibilities
Delivery of World Animal Protections Global Strategy across the core themes of Mission, Movement & Transformation in a global, matrix environment
Work cooperatively with external organisations, teams within World Animal Protection and in the wider animal welfare movement to pursue programme objectives and wider organisational goals, including those relating to brand, communications, fundraising and resource management.
Actively participate in building our brand and maintain the integrity of our brand to support our profile, lead generation, income and engagement.
Help secure resources (income) and reach (people and partnerships) by actively contributing to our supporter relationships, fundraising, communications, and donor reporting.
Actively participate and support the organisation to ensure that we manage our resources (financial, staff and IT) efficiently and effectively by improvement of systems, reporting and compliance.
Contribute to a learning culture and create a positive working environment for staff.
The role holder will from time to time be required to undertake any other duties that are within the scope of this role.
Take responsibility for their own health, safety and welfare, comply with H&S policy and procedures, and not act in any way that compromises the safety of themselves, colleagues or the public.
The post holder may be required to travel internationally to provide support or participate in World Animal Protections activities as and when required.

Skills and Experience
Essential
Significant experience in digital marketing
Experience in website management, SEO, web trends, social media management, associated web technologies and tools
Ability in strategic brainstorming, campaign development, creative brief development and creative execution
Ability to work with tight timelines on multiple campaigns
Experience in working with an international organisation
Experience in managing agencies and vendors
Experience in email marketing and database management
