Job Title: VP - Marketing

A leading Agrochemical company is looking for a VP Marketing for managing its pan- India Marketing. The ideal candidate will have an experience of atleast 15+ years country-wide in marketing and sales of agri-inputs.
Position Overview :
The key deliverable for this role is to head the brand in its strategy and resource deployment. The role entails thought leadership across product categories. To drive the marketing function of the division to achieve top line and bottom-line targets of the division with healthy Sales to Expense ratio.
Roles & Responsibilities :
Create & Monitor Marketing Plan to meet divisional goals in terms of top line and bottom-line for value added formulations.
He will be handling the marketing and product development strategy - Launching new products, Working on consumer feedback, End to end brand planning including crafting the brand vision & strategic objective. Inturn having a product pull.
Strategic planning and implementation of Marketing initiatives.
Organise and Conduct Annual Marketing /Brand Plans Qtr./ Month wise Break down of plans and communicate this to the Field based on regional / country requirements.
Define Analyse and Monitor External indicators periodically to retain competitive position in the market place.
Guide and drive key promotional / therapy campaigns to enable achievement of divisional objectives
and maintain customer connect for division so as to seek their insights on key promotional strategies.
Support Sales personnel to be brand ambassadors for the division through Ad Boards.
Propose product pipeline to General Managers for building future portfolio of the division.
Manage cross function relationships with R&D/ Portfolio Team/ Packaging Team / Planning & Sourcing Team to get optimal outcomes.
Map competitor portfolio and suggest a fitment.
Provide business cases for new product proposals and ensure viability and success.
Train and develop team members with regards to domain expertise for taking up future responsibilities in the division.
Conduct brand management reviews/workshops for the team on (Comm /Brand Plans / Ideation Workshops).
Should be having a pleasing personality & flexible attitude of working with multicultural people and creating a motivational environment for more.
Education: MBA from a premier B-School or Masters in Agriculture/Plant Pathology/Entomology from a reputed and leading agricultural university in India
The incumbent should have more than 15+ years of strong marketing and sales & distribution experience, preferably from Agrochemical industry. Only Agro Industry candidates will be considered.
Good analytical / conceptual / logical skills / Brand Management Exposure
Good Market Connect / Ability to draw customer engagement plans
Good Emotional Quotient/ Man Management experience
Technically sound and strong in marketing
Must have proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office / SAP preferred
Fluent in English
Must have a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
Strong desire for continued growth and learning
