Be seen as the expert and go-to for all things web-related at Motorola. Your role will be especially focused on what users do while they are on Motorola.com, but you should be seen as a thought leader for adjacent functions as well
Work closely with our extended team of device product managers and marketers in defining and refining the vision for our web experiences
Develop a product roadmap (spanning 2 weeks to one year) and break it down into manageable features, working with designers to create great UX and with Engineering to implement it
Industry domain expert: know Motorolas business and ecosystem we operate in. If its mobile, you should be all over it.
Own key business metrics, user perceptions. Evangelize our products internally and externally
Pitch business cases, product updates and strategic direction to SVP level executives
As a Product Manager you will have the following responsibilities:
Develop the strategic Web product roadmap, consumer value propositions, drive usability testing of the product, plan consumer research and support public relations and marketing teams
Identify market trends and engage with user communities to identify opportunities problems and opportunities ripe for innovation.
Define and discover the minimum viable product (MVP) for new Web, mobile, and direct to consumer digital experiences.
Partner with design and engineering counterparts to rapidly ideate, mock-up, and test with real users.
Manage development in Agile/Scrum cycles, creating user stories in JIRA, supervising execution, answering questions, continually explaining the what and why for web features
Evaluate partnership opportunities to enhance current product offerings and establish ongoing relationships with key strategic partners.
Continually and directly engage with consumers (via social forums, consumer lab testing, secret shopper, cafe testing, etc.) to refine current product and inform new concepts.
Advocate the voice of the consumer during product reviews
Own the ROI for your team. Justify costs and benefit from web features shipped.
The Web Product Manager will provide regular updates to Marketing leadership and will have a strong emphasis placed on creative vision and execution which can be directly linked to increased engagement, customer satisfaction, awareness, and ultimately sales.
Desired Candidate Profile
Specific Knowledge / Skills:
Excellent attention to detail while maintaining the big picture, ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives in a fast paced environment
7+ years of professional experience, with 4+ years in roles spanning web/software product management, product marketing or software development, especially in web related products or mobile apps
Hands-on experience with consumer-facing products is a must, work with consumer electronics brands is especially valuable
Technically competent with experience in web software development, systems integration, product development, technical consulting, and/or engineering
Creative, with good design sense, and an appreciation for great UI
Excellent verbal and written communication skills - internal and external
BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or pure sciences/economics
MBA or Masters degree in a business-oriented discipline preferred .
